Help with chill haze

I had chill haze a couple of times about 12 months ago. My solution to remove it was to make the boil more vigorous and I've not had any haze issues since. I don't really do mega hoppy beers though.

My guess is the cold temperatures precipitate more of the proteins, allowing the gelatine to bond to them and drop out of suspension.

I have very soft water - since I got a water analysis done and started chucking in a load of Calcium, every aspect of my beer has been better, including clarity.
Ditto for me with soft water. Increased calcium + gelatin at a rate of 1tsp (dissolved in 250ml boiled cooled water, heater back up to 63c) per Corny has given me sparklingly clear beer.

I have effective gelatin use at 6.5C if I chill down the bottled beer below that I suspect they will show chill haze. But this was one of the brightest beers I ever mafe
