Yep, they're very old varieties prized for their aroma not their bittering ability. High alpha hops are quite new, relatively speaking — 20 years ago 6% was "high alpha".

I seem to order the most of my stuff at H@G just because of the liquid yeasts they sell. I would order lots more from Paul if he stocked these yeasts! Great prices>>>>>> :wink:

Ive been looking into liquid yeast but the UK HBS suppliers wont sell to me, ive been looking into shippling it in from the US, not sure if its going to be worth it, ill keep you posted.

New product for the month is Spraymalt-Light in 500g vac packs for £2.99

Aren't there only the two US suppliers of liquid yeast for the homebrew market? Wyeast and White Labs are the only ones I ever see mentioned.

Not sure, i mentioned it as i read about 2 institutes. 1 in Germany and 1 in Belgium i think and yeast is their game. Hard to believe that theres not a European equivalent of of WL and WY.
