Hi Folks
I'm about to move my setup from my overcrowded back porch to my rather cold and dusty garage, so I'm trying to come up with ideas to keep the whole process as well insulated and protected from the elements as possible.
I was wondering would it be possible to simply run a line into the top of my MT from my HLT so that once mashing was done, if I batch sparge, I could simply start sparging without removing the lid from my MT ?
Also, along similar lines, just how important is it that the grain is added to the liquor rather than the other way around?
Any advice?...Cheers
Enclosed setup.. ideas?

If you are sure that you have the space in the MT then there is no reason to remove the lid while adding the sparge liquor . . . How will you stir it though
Adding grain to liquor is the traditional way, but there is no reason why you can't underlet the mash liquor (Or sparge liquor) into the tun containing the dry grain. . . . . It'll still need a stir though
