Graham Wheeler Book - which one???

Post by escapizm » Thu Mar 12, 2009 6:55 pm

I aspire to become an AG brewer but whilst I continue pour my tin of LME into hot water I do like a good read...

Surfing Amazon and reading a few reviews it is suggested I buy the CAMRA Guide to Homebrewing, is this as well as the Brew Your Own British Real Ale
by same author.

Is the £110 price tag for the book below a typo or is it no longer in print and widely sought after???

Is there a recommended reading area on this awesome site? I've read A Guide to Craft Brewing (Paperback)
by John Alexander and whilst very good was a bit dated, it advised i skim crust of top which i think is now not recommended.

Thanks

To Skim or not to skim? . . .
That is the question . .
Whether to suffer the slings and arrows of . . . .

Sorry got a little carried away there  . . . It is a personal decision, many do skim the initial head that forms which carry away a lot of the trub and break protein . . . others leave it in place (I do, but that is a problem with my FV otherwise I would be tempted to skim)
