Hop recommendations for a weissbeir?

Post by purple_chicken » Fri Mar 20, 2009 6:11 pm

I'm gonna try my first weissbeir I'm looking at 2700g wheat malt, 2700g pale malt,
I'm not really wanting to order any more new hops cause ive got plenty of the following Goldings, Styrians, Challenger, Northdown and Saaz.

If anyone can recommend suitable hops for use in and ebu required in then it would be much appreciated.

Hefe's tend to be fairly lightly hopped so you would only be looking to achieve around 20IBU from your bittering hops. I have used Saaz and Challenger in my Hefe's and they have been successful.
