My beer has gone off.

Well actually it's a lager. The lager has been in the barell for just over a week so on Friday night I thought I'd have a half pint taster to see how it was progressing and to be fair it tasted okay ( for a lager ) it was nice and clear with a very thick head. I tried the same brew 24 hrs later and the stuff has gone off, it's not the usual vinegar taste that but a very nasty taste that is hard to describe. Anyone got any ideas what has gone wrong? Oxidation perhaps?

I've done a bit of detective work ( well I used the search thinghy at the top of the page ) and come up with the following description.
Autolysis can be like burnt rubber, it can have a soapy flavour also. Even the most desensitised drinker would find beer that has been sat on autolysised yeast undrinkable.
A soapy taste hits the nail on the head. Oh well time to feed the sewer rats.
