beer engine - how to connect it all up

Post by beesley121 » Sun Jun 14, 2009 3:06 pm

hi guys,

i have a timothy talyor landlord lone ready in a few weeks and want to get my beer engine setup in time for the grand unvielling :D

anyways, its an angram 1/2 pint beer engine. i have an cask ale extraction rod, see here (http://www.a1barstuff.co.uk/detail.asp?ProdID=273) that i will be using with the cask instead of the normal tap in type tap. This is due to space issues and also i want to serve direct from my temperature controlled freezer.

im going to order a cask breather and check valve but can you tell me what i will need to connect this all together please as i have no idea where to start. im thinking what size tubing will i need?? i bought some of this off ebay the other week http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3-8-10mm-Clear-Br ... 7C294%3A50 could i use this??

will i need some john guest fittings??

hope u can help
