I just finished an all grain TTL clone.
it got down to 1010 for a couple of days and was ready to move to a secondary fermenter.
the temperature here, went up and the fermentation went mad again.
it then registered as 1002 on my hydrometer.
Does it sound like a wild yeast got in ?
And if it did what does this actually do ?
this tastes fine but as the FG is now down, is it actually stronger (alcohol wise) or is this misleading ?
thanks for any help

2nd fermentation
Re: 2nd fermentation
It's very unusual for a beer to finish so low. It will have a higher alcohol content but will also be 'thinner', less body to it. However, if it tastes ok to you then it's unlikely wild yeast has got in.
Re: 2nd fermentation
Did you use any sugar?
If the beer doesn't taste dry and thin, then you may not be getting an accurate reading from your hydrometer. If the temperature of the beer is higher than the one for which the hydrometer is calibrated (normally 20oC for homebrew ones) then you'll get a lower reading than actually is the case, or it could just be inaccurate full stop.

Re: 2nd fermentation

thanks again
