Lost Hop Strainer, suggestions?

Post by micmacmoc » Mon Aug 31, 2009 12:53 pm

Preparing for a brew day tomorrow, a rare day off, only to discover my hop strainer is missing from my brupaks boiler.
Anyone have any tips what to do instead?
Blimmin frustrated!

Go buy a stainless steel Pan scrub and stuff it in the back of the tap.

Brilliant inventiveness, thanks! Replacing the strainer is an excuse to do some hop and grain shopping. Thanks for the tip. Was up early this morning searching for the darn thing, its gone for good. Also found tyhe time to prepare for the next brew. Some good did come of this, I found two pints of the nicest kit I ever made, they went down well last night. They are 14 months old and tasted beautiful, will order another to 'lay down' along with the grain and hop strainer.
