Should I be disappointed?

Post by kairos » Sat Sep 12, 2009 4:23 pm

I have just opened a bottle of Timothy Taylor Landlord that I made following the recipe from G W's book.
After fermenting it was conditioned in a seperate vessel for 10 days, then bottled. That was only 2 weeks ago so i am tasting it a bit early, but I could not resist.
At bottling it tasted almost identical to Tim Taylor but now it seems to have lost some of the more intense, lingering flavours and become thinner and lighter. There are no off flavours and it is certainly not unpleasant, but just not quite 'right'.
Any ideas/comments apart from
a) be more patient and
b) be less fussy.
Thanks!

You could maybe dry hop your next batch of it, give it back some of the stuff its lost???
I've just brewed a Landlord today, hope its going to be a good one, the wort certainly tasted good :)
