Brewing Software for Iphone and Ipod Touch

If you own an IPhone or an Ipod Touch there Is a software program called BeerAlchemy available for about £9. Its got an inventory of about 35 recipes that you can add to. An inventory section that keeps track of what you've ordered and when it arrives. An Ingredients section, a Mash Editor, A profiles section for 1 or 2 Cornie keg batches. It can be synced with a Mac and there is an Import and Export feature.

I think it's a reasonable piece of software for the price has anybody else used it on an Ipod or IPhone? I only tried it because the software vendors refuse to release any of their software for Windows.

It's developed by steve_flack a member of these forums - why he'd want to develop software for overpriced equipment is beyond me

As GS said its the brain child of a v.knowledgeable chap called steve flack who is a member of jims. I've only heard good things about the software on the forum, that said im a PC/beer engine (graham wheelers software) man i'll leave it to a mac/iphone user to pass comment.

I use Beer Alchemy on the mac and I would agree that its a very good piece of software

Yes, it's me. It's taken quite a while to write and, apart from the usual 'It should cost 99c' idiots, it's been well received. There's a few bugs in the 1.0 version that I'm gradually ironing out. They would be fixed already but on the iPhone you have to go through the black box that is Apple's approval process.

I use Beer Alchemy on the Mac, it rocks! Far better than any software I've tested on my PC's

I use both BeerAlchemy and BrewMath. Wouldn't want to brew without them now. Cheers Steve!

Yep love them both, BrewMath is especially useful when brewing in the garage and want to do calcs without having to go back to the computer upstairs
