Secondary fermentation question

Post by dopejack » Sun Oct 25, 2009 4:11 pm

Never done the secondary FV thing before, but I've got 23l in one now that's been sitting there for six days, and for the last couple of days has become very gently active. Question: do I leave it until it's completely quiet before I bottle?
Cheers

Apply the same rules as you would if bottling from a primary (2 days same gravity) You may just be seeing a little action due to the last couple of days having been a bit warmer. I assume it was pretty much finished when you racked to the secondary and now that more time has passed it is unlikely to kick off again (unless it was stuck earlier)............Will be interesting if you see a benefit from the secondary............I tend not to bother!
