Clear already?

Post by Deebee » Thu Dec 03, 2009 8:18 am

Hi. I made a short 14 l brew monday. It was a light ale at 1040. I pitched a pack of safe ale04 and today the gravity is at 1012. So this has good fast.
The wort was totally clear when it went into the fv, and the sample today was the same.
I åm going vm bottle this lot, but wondered he a totally clear wort on bottling this weekend will affect the priming. It looks as though all yeast has dropped out. Thanks

No, it will be fine as long as the SG has remained constant for a couple of days. There will still be plenty of yeast in suspension to get the secondary going 8)

It takes a really! long time to not have enough yeast left for bottle conditioning, no matter how clear it looks.
I'm just here for the beer.
