I've never used finings before as the beer has always cleared fine in bottles or king kegs. But since using cornies I have put about 6 different brews into them and not one has cleared

So hand in pocket again.....What the best type to use?
Me too. Ive never tried anything else though.dave-o wrote:Gelatin here.
I'm sure it's not "the best" but it's the cheapest and most available.
Do you buy from the gelatin the supermarket? Any further advice re mix and amounts to use would be helpfuljubby wrote:Me too. Ive never tried anything else though.dave-o wrote:Gelatin here.

I use the granulated Brupaks stuff. 2 teaspoons for 23 litres. I read that the supermarket gelatin is just as good, although i've never used it.Do you buy from the gelatin the supermarket? Any further advice re mix and amounts to use would be helpful

I've used this too - brilliant stuff. Clears a cloudy demijohn of wine in about a day, and in 3 days cleared a keg of Townes IPA bright having giving it 5 weeks to do so itself... US-05polymoog wrote:I use Ritchies Kwik clear available from most hb shops, you only need the smallest amount.
