My Landlord (which looked and tasted great) finished it's primary fermentation last thursday/friday. I was going to leave it in there for a couple of days, but unfortunately became very ill over the weekend and haven't been able to do it yet, due to being laid out. Will it be ok? It's been kept fairly cool and the lid has been sealed. Shall I bother or will it be a right off?
Hope all my work wasn't for nothing!
Thanks,
J
Too much time in primary?
Re: Too much time in primary?
A couple of weeks in primary is usually nothing to worry about - I often leave it that long!

Yes,I've just bottled a batch after seventeen days in the FV. Standard practise for me these days - I've found it results in better beer. Simples!CrownCap wrote:A couple of weeks in primary is usually nothing to worry about - I often leave it that long!

I have left 3 weeks without a problem. A lot of people on here recommend leaving it at least 2 weeks in there.
