Me again, When using the GW brewing recipes do any of you tweak the grain bill to compensate for the reduced effeciency of batch sparging? Mick

Hi Mick

I usually add about 10% more grain for a batch sparge. However the last batch came out well over SG so it may not be necessary depending on your set up. Probably best to be over cautious, no harm if the beer turns out slightly stronger!

Cheers Rick, I am having a brew day tomorrow and having a stab at Batemans Victory. Was considering upping the grain by 5% but might take your advice and go 10%. I usually come up short of my final legnth so if it comes out over gravity will allow for a top up. Mick
