Quick question for you.
When making bitters and ales I usually add 80 -100 g of sugar before bottling 5 gallons. What would you suggest for a Guiness? I would imagine it's less if anything at all.
Thanks in advance
Guiness secondary ferment
Re: Guiness secondary ferment
I add 100 gms of cane sugar to a sterilised jug and make up to 500 mls of solution with boiling water from the kettle.
Each bottle is dosed with 10 mls from a syringe before filling.
Gives a decent but not overly carbonated pint.
Hope this helps
