Polycar Brewbrite

Post by mark4newman » Fri Jan 20, 2012 1:57 pm

Hi

After meeting an Australian mate, he recommended that I tried this. I can't find it in the UK, so I've ordered it from Australia...

It is added at the end of the the boil, instead of Irish moss.

It says it

• Greater trub removal with enhanced wort clarity
• Increased wort production
• Decreased primary fermentation time
• Increased ethanol yield
• Improved total productivity of the brewing plant
• Extended shelf life of packaged beer

Looking here, it seem that they like it down under

If it arrives, I will be trying it out next weekend.

Anyone here used it, or any views on it?

Cheers

Hi

730 isn't the same stuff as Brewbrite :(

I already own 730, but it only does chill haze, and I am not keen on adding it to the fermenter.
1) I need to put beer into secondary, so I can wash the yeast.
2) I always worry that the plastic will get into the beer.

Therefore I only tend to use it for lager.

Also brewbrite has other properties, such as helping the yeast.
