My next brewday will, hopefully, be Tuesday 3rd April. For technical resons (not enough kegs!) it will probably be 3 weeks before the beer can be transferred to a keg.
Should it be left in the FV under airlock, or would you transfer to a secondary vessel, also under airlock, once the initial fermentation is over?

Re: Should I store in the FV or a secondary?
The only issue I can think of is autolysis, which from everything I've read is unlikely to affect the home brewer at our scale and that amount of time. As long as the airlock is sound along with the seal on the FV and temperature is reasonably consistent you should be fine. The racking off idea opens up a second opportunity for infection so I don't see an argument for it.

Most people think three weeks is fine in the primary and it will be under airlock so should be fine. If you have means of cooling you could chill it down whilst your away.
