Mango extract

Post by Belter » Sun Sep 23, 2012 9:48 pm

I'm interested in making a mango beer.

All the recipes I've seen mention mango extract. When I search google I get a health supplement which isn't anything I can brew with.

Also hasn't anyone done one before. Not sure how to keep the mango from just fermenting out and going dry.

For anyone who has been to Zero degrees theny inspiration is the mango beer they produce.

Bit random, but google a company called Vin Sullivan, go to the contact page and there is a link to their interactive catalogue, have a look at page 73/74 there are some flavour drops and compounds that I think could work really well. These re top quality products I use to use as a pastry chef n London. They courier out orders and are more than happy to take a credit card order without an account.
Good luck!

It's not extract but you can get tins of mango pulp in the world foods section of bigger supermarkets. It's like a purée. I've never brewed with it but it makes wicked (and easy) cocktails.
