I made a huge balls up tonight. Just going through the motions in bottling my latest beer and to cut a long story short, I realised I had bought the wrong sized bottle tops... Just after adding my priming solution to the beer.
Obviously I can't do anything about it right now, I'll have to get some first thing and bottle in the morning (lucky I'm not at work). Anyone think this will be ok/a disaster?
Any input appreciated.
Priming sugar in bucket overnight????
Re: Priming sugar in bucket overnight????
I used to regularly leave for 24 plus hours with priming sugar in the bottling bucket, it won't be a problem. The only thing you will find is a small amount of sediment so you can't get the very last bit out of the fermenter.

Cheers for the vote of confidence. So you don't think I'll lose too much carbonation?

no because the secondary fermentation only begins to take place when you add priming sugar, needs a couple of weeks to completeDavidman wrote:Cheers for the vote of confidence. So you don't think I'll lose too much carbonation?

I've left for over 48 hours due to work commitments before and not suffered too much. Stick it outside, in a shed, garage etc and you'll be fine.

Nice one. That's my mind at rest. I assumed it should be ok, just though I'd better check to see if anyone had any first hand experience of doing this.
