How many permissions and certificates etc?

Post by Blackjack » Wed Mar 13, 2013 4:33 pm

I saw the good thread just a bit down the list on the home brewer and his HMRC certificate, well done =D>

I got mine 18 months ago and now I want to go the whole hog and brew on the premises where I live commercially.
Fortunately this is a small holding. So I expect I need planning permission for change of use and need to talk to the water authority for water supply and effluent.
BUT Who else do I need to speak to and get a rubber stamp or permission from?
I would welcome comment from any commercial brewer on here, thanks.

Best of luck.

Council licensing depending on how you want to sell it, is one to add to list.

You've mentioned planning, who will probably also refer to building control.

A mate of mine also mentioned the water company when I said what I was doing.

Check your electricity supply as well, otherwise you may end up paying domestic rates for high usage. Or you may not have sufficient supply for purpose.

Can't be arsed to keep changing this bit, so, drinking some beer and wanting to brew many more!
