just checked my keg it aint primed?
hi as stated keg as been into the warm now for a week just went to try a half pint as i usually do to see if its primed and low and behold the first time in 4 years of brewing it aint primed up, i drew a half off and all i got is glug glug glug. any ideas or tips?
Re: just checked my keg it aint primed?
Give it a shake and move it somewhere warmer
might need a bit of time

Cheers and gone,

Are all the seals good? If you have a leak then the CO2 might have just escaped.
Re: just checked my keg it aint primed?
yes seals seem good as a small bit of air escaped when i pressed the rubber on top? never had this in 4 years ha

I'll bet it's the first leak you've had in 4 years. If the top has an S30 valve, give it a burst of CO2 and check it in an hour or so.
Without patience, life becomes difficult and the sooner it's finished, the better.

Yes there will be plenty in bulk like that. Seals are the obvious thing. Try repriming as suggested, careful with aeration, then smear a little vaseline/petroleum jelly on the main lid seal, don't over tighten as it can distort it. Give it a squirt of CO2 leave for a few moments then "burp" the keg to expel oxygen. I would then get a little soapy water and smear all the usual suspect areas with it and look for bubbles.alfie09 wrote:thinking that myself should there be enough yeast/
