Priming the keg or not.
I have always primed my KK barrel with 80g of brewing sugar. Does anyone just barrel without priming with any success? Currently I have one I primed but now tastes really sweet. I may need to put some yeast in to clean it up. It was lovely on the way in.

Re: Priming the keg or not.
Like you, I always used to put about 80g of sugar into the King Keg as priming. Like you, the problem of sweetness reared its ugly head. It took a few days for each brew to use up the sugar and start tasting like beer again!
Haven't primed for ages now. I generally rack into the keg after about 10 days in the FV. There is always just enough fermentable stuff left in the beer to give it some sparkle. I then pump a bit of CO2 in as necessary to allow the beer to flow freely, but not too excitedly (!) as it gets to the bottom of the keg.
