Deuchars IPA?

Evening Chaps,

Has anyone tried to brew a Deuchars IPA-esque beer?

It seems to have a very smooth glossy texture - I was wondering how thats achieved? Is it oats?

I've never noticed a sparkler on the end of the pumps - but I noticed when I was up in York the local York Brewery beers mostly had a similar texture but they dispense through a pretty tight sparkler.

Cheers
Alex

Diacetyl rather than oats I would think. Never heard of there being any oats in it.

There are recipes for it on the forum somewhere from several years. If you follow one of those you might well get a better beer than the commercial version, which is a sorry shadow of the beer it used to be.

I'm sure I read somewhere that it is a result of the kettles they use.
