stainless steel tank connector

I'm trying to move away from copper for a few reason but on the cheap. I'm thinking of using these;
http://cart.payments.ebay.co.uk/sc/add? ... 1066,qty:1
Basically a street elbow with a little ledge, stainless steel washers and lock nut to go in the holes on the side of my converted kegs as a tank connector instead of the brass tank connectors I currently have. The and ball valves have the nipple thread on both sides so this would screw into the female end with nut and washer on the inside of the keg screwed in. Would this work as a cheap water tight tank connector?
Thanks

Something similar worked for me.

Thanks just wasn't sure which washers to use stainless hard or kelvin/fiber type washers and whether it be water tight as can't work out how much of a lip there is on it to compress the washer. Also do I need a washer on the inside as well as out? Thanks

You will need a locknut on the elbow, tank skin, o ring and locknut.

The HBB lock nut/o ring combo will seal that as they have a recess in the lock ring that seals with nothing but a bit of lube.

Won't you need BSP 1/2 nuts, not UNC full nuts?

I used a hex nipple -> stainless washer -> silicon gasket (cut from a bread mold) -> tank skin -> another silicon washer -> hex nut. Then I screwed (with plenty of ptfe) my ball valve to the other side of the hex nipple.
