Bloody nightmare!!!

Post by gibbiem » Fri Jul 18, 2014 9:10 am

Got a brew in the fridge in primary FV, brewed on Saturday and been keeping it about 20c by manually turning the fridge on and off till my STC1000 arrives but yesterday I forgot to turn the fridge off so its been down at about 1-2c for two days!!!!! will this be an issue? primary should have finished and I'm going away this week so thinking about just leaving it cold and bringing it back up to 20c when I'm back, measure FG and if ok just bottle. Is this a good idea? cheers

It has probably finished fermenting.
I would check the gravity and if it was at the expected FG I would leave the beer cold for a week and then bottle cold when I got back.

Just warm it back up, it will start again most probably.
