After siphoning my first all grain stout into a corny keg with 80g of brewing sugar I have blasted it with 12 psi of CO2 and left it in my shed at 20c for the last week.
I would like to drink this beer at Christmas I have set up a fridge with a ST1000 what's the best temperature to have in the fridge and how long do I need to wait before this stout will be ready ?
Thanks Ricky

WoW I would think you have way too much co2 in suspension, might need to release some. I maybe wrong but with the sugar & 12psi of co2 on top...
I don't use cornies so is there some form of pressure release on it? How are you dispensing as well, via a short or a long hose?
As to temp, between 10-12 is "normal". I would leave it for at least 3 weeks conditioning more is better.

I agree here.Hairybiker wrote:WoW I would think you have way too much co2 in suspension, might need to release some. I maybe wrong but with the sugar & 12psi of co2 on top...

I prime with sugar in my cornies and have found that if I do not vent the co2 out after I have purged it we are in foam city.
How big is the corny.? in a 19 litre I use no more than 70 g and a week before I am going to sample it vent most of the Co2 off.
Re: Conditioning first all grain
Was the 12psi of CO2 just to purge the headspace and not left on for days? If so, then I reckon you'll be OK with carbonation.
But you may need to vent a little for a Stout as previous posters have said.

Thank you for the replies I did purge then add 12psi and left it
I have just released some of the CO2 what CO2 reading should I have for conditioning ?

Since you used sugar, you don't need to force condition.
Either or really.
I have seen on US sites them chill the beer (near freezing) then blast with 30psi, slosh around and leave for a day then release the excess pressure.
