Translucent Fermenting Bin

Post by Will333 » Tue Feb 10, 2015 12:36 am

Am fermenting a larger outside atm. My fermenting bin is translucent - will I have a problem with sun strike?
I know UV light is meant to be kept away...

Yes, keep it completely away from light, at all times.

You must have it covered somehow though? Otherwise the temperature fluctuations will be far too much

I haven't.. it's in the secondary at the moment.

Is 8 Celcius too larger a fluctuation? What do you cover it with, given that I want to keep it as cold as possible?
