Hello everyone,

It feels like it's been a long time since I was last here, busy life getting in the way of brewing isn't a good thing.

Anyway, one for all the lager brewers, what's your favourite recipe for a basic lager. Something to entice a commercial drinking to the dark side of brewing. They say they don't like the taste of real ales or hops...

Mrs H's Lager recipe.

Lager Malt 2816g
British Caramalt 402g
Flaked Maize 402g
Brewing Sugar 402g

Saaz Hops 20 Bittering units, added at start of the boil.

Estimated OG 1042

To make a Pilsner style Lager, simply replace the Lager Malt with Pilsner Malt and the British Caramalt with Carapils malt. Use the same amount as shown in the recipe.
