Hi all
I am doing my second brew today and am adding hops at flameout and have been told to add at 80c for flavour and aroma. How long do I leave them before chilling to fermentation temperature
Many thanks
Bedders

About 30 minutes is what I use. Other factors play a part, but, for now just just do a 20-30 minute stand. You might what to then compare with lower temperatures, which some now favour, due to more efficient extraction. I wouldn’t go below 50℃, though. You’re unlikely to get any biological activity above 45-50℃, so no need to worry about infections creeping in at lower temps.

As McM, about 30 minutes. Not sure if there's any real difference between 20, 25 or 30 minutes. But about 30 minutes allows me to have a sandwich and a beer!
Recently I've been adding the hops at just below 70°C rather than 80°C. I think it allows more hop aroma in the finished beer, but it might just be my imagination. There's no way I can design an experiment to know for sure.
Happy late hopping!
