Boil Time For a Doppelbock

Post by Binkie Huckaback » Sat Jan 15, 2022 12:54 am

I was lucky enough to receive a Malt Miller doppelbock kit for Christmas which I'm hoping to brew tomorrow. As the instructions on Malt Miller kits are pretty good, I've not bothered to read them until tonight and I'm scratching my head a bit. The boil instructions are:

"Add 16g Perle and 15g Hallertau Mittelfrüh as first wort hopping.

Secondary additions and timing:

Add 13g of Perle when it starts to boil and 5g of Hallertau Mittelfrüh after it has boiled for 40 minutes."

Can anyone tell me what the boil duration is? I'm assuming 60 minutes.

Thanks!

Thanks. I wanted to brew today, but the Malt Mille doesn't open on a Saturday. I managed to track down the guy whose recipe it is and he's confirmed 90 minuntes or 60 for slightly lower gravity.
