Blandford fly clone?

Post by Monkhouse » Thu Mar 03, 2022 6:20 pm

Has anyone come across a blandford fly clone recipe? I’ve been trying to find a decent ginger flavoured ale that tastes like this beer. Just thought I’d check if anyone has done a decent one before🍻

I have to admit I tried and failed at this many moons ago.

Watching this thread with interest I hope you get some results. I would be up for another go.

I used to enjoy this beer when down south (in Wiltshire, not quite in Dorset). Didn't it change its name for a while? And was available on handpump? Whatever, it's Blandford Fly now and only in bottles (seems they've shaken up their beer list since my time down there).

At that time there were clone recipes about. I know because I was looking them up ahead of returning to brewing again. (But can't find any now :( ).

(A bit of a grub about and yes, it did get renamed to Blandford Flyer for a while, but a shake-up in 2018 corrected that).
