There were 80 entries this year BTW - about the same as last year I think. The venue was bigger, but the space was spread over 3 rooms rather than 1 like in the Robin Hood. I'm sure next year there'll be a much better layout

Re: Sutton CBA comp 2009
I would love to show a couple of beers next year....sounds like a great day.
Has no one got any pictures? or is it sad enough brewing all the time to put in a competition without taking photos of the event
hehe!!

Well done to the winners!
When I get back home (at the weekend) I'll sort out titles for you so that you get '2009 CBA Prizewinner' next to your name on the forum.

Aaaah...
was my first time at this event and i had a cracking time. I did however over do the tasting and ended up falling asleep at Sutton station for part of the evening
. Just glad I missed the trip to the pub for afters. I did take note of all the winners but not sure if my state of mind at the time could be trusted. Was great to meet so many brewers and taste so many great beers. The stand out beer for me was 'Mad Boris', loved it.

I've updated the forum rank for coatesg and scarer. Were there any other prizewinners from the forum?

I picked up the Colonial category for my American Pale Ale. Not a bad drop if I do say so myselfJim wrote:I've updated the forum rank for coatesg and scarer. Were there any other prizewinners from the forum?

A good turnout, some really good beers, and excellent judging comments for feedback. Definitely worth entering again next year.
