Scottish Craft Brewer Midweek Meeting - Wednesday 17th Feb

Post by Calum » Wed Feb 10, 2010 10:05 pm

SCB Brewers Meeting - Wednesday 17th February, 7:30pm
Elgin House, 6 Easter Road, Edinburgh

This month the theme is Continental Lager so if you have been using the cold temperatures to ferment some lager yeast then bring along your wares. I will be bringing the pilsner I brewed on New Years Day so we should have at least one.

As always the theme is just a guide so if you have other beers you would like to share then bring them along.

Any questions then give me a shout.

When is the next meeting? I've been keen to attend these, but never found the post in time. Also, are they always in edinburgh?

Hi Mark

We run the meetings on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. All the midweek meetings are in Edinburgh as this is a bit of a side shoot of the Scottish Craft Brewers and there is a group of around 12-15 who regularly attend. I don't think taking the midweek meeting around the central belt would be successful due to travelling involved.

The Scottish Craft Brewers do try to take meetings out of Edinburgh and we tend to have at least one meeting at a brewery each year too (last year we visited the Bridge of Allan brewery). Our AGM is in April (sorry, it will be in Edinburgh again) where we hope to have a speaker along to discuss fruit beers. If you keep an eye on our website you will get the date when we have confirmed the venue.

If you want to PM me your email address I can add you to my mailing list for future meetings. If you wish I can also make sure you are kept informed about the other activities that the SCB are involved in (we hope to start sending out a regular newsletter).
