Going to the Bent and Bongs beer festival tonight at Atherton near Wigan and just reading through the tasting notes of the beers on offer one is described as "Ideal for tiffing" having never come across that term before i wondered if any of Jim's members could enlighten me i'm hoping critch comes on line because its a desciption of one of his brews :)
Anyone else going tonight ?

From Wikipedia entry on "Tiffin":

It is derived from the obsolete English slang tiffing, for "taking a little drink or sip".
Critch, you need to make beer folk will guzzle rather than tiff, then they will buy more.... :twisted:
