Yes, Eric - The Smiths Arms, Lumley.

Apparently the access road from Lambton is closed off due to a landslide, so you have to approach from the cricket ground side.

Pity, but it was short notice for you coming that distance - maybe the next one.

Thanks Jim, I'm now getting a lift through and will be there about 7:40. Should have said about the road closure, pass there twice a week but never thought to pass it on.

See you soon.

Eric.

Aye, a good night out - that was my kind of pub. It's nice to just be able to drink and talk!

Yes. Might I suggest we make there a base for a regular meeting? Enough comfortable seating, sufficient choice of beers and little noise to hinder conversation.
We could fix the frequency in advance as with longer notice, I believe attendance could increase. All previous meetings have been on a Friday, so as an opener, we met on the 5th and last Friday of May, could we try a fix of the last Friday each month or every second, or third month, or every fifth friday in all months when that happens?

Seems like a plan. As you say, not everyone might be able to get to all of them, but at least we could all plan our diaries round it! :)

Yeah Good Idea there Eric. It is a good pub. and some real good beers. But the best thing is the brew talk.
