The Steamboat Sunderland & South Tyneside Camra's pub of the year are holding a Real Ale quiz Monday 6th April from 7:30ish, beer prizes and brewery merch to be won, get yersel's doon and put all that knowledge gleaned from reading The Real Ale Tw**ts to good use.
The beers on sale last night were
Evan Evans Warrior
Wickwar Rite Flanker
Hopping Mad
Hobgoblin
Old Peculier
Copper Dragon Golden Pippin
and more but my memory has given up on me due to the amount of ale i supped there last night.
OK homebrewers here's that bit i was on about earlier
Thursday 9th @ The Steamboat 8pm Meet The Brewers from Maxim Brewery and try some of the brewery's ales
Sometime in May @ The Steamboat Meet The Brewers from Marstons Brewery and i dare say try their beers too.
also to come Ale and Sausage Fest (oo-er obv.) and Ale and Pie Fest
