Post by Garth » Wed Mar 10, 2010 1:17 pm

Hi folks,

we're having another JBK meetup, same venue as normal, The Tap and Spile in Framwellgate Moor, a mile or so from Durham City centre.

It's going to be on 26th March with a 7pm -ish start.

Anyone is most welcome, we'd be pleased to see some new faces there.

At the moment we have attending:-

Jim
Horden Hillbilly
Eric
Garth
Scotty Mc
BoroDave

if you want to come and are travelling but haven't been before give me a pm and I'll let you know directions to then pub and how best to get there

Theres a train back to boro at 10:20, so I couldnt stay that long depending on how far a walk from the station is, so im a 'maybe'

Hi Dave,
The pub is towards the far (northern) end of Framwellgate Moor and about 2 miles walk to the station. You would need to allow a good half hour for the walk but the route is almost a straight line and quiet at night so if you're a good runner or can afford a taxi you could reduce that.

Incidentally, Durham Brewery are holding a tour this Saturday. For details see http://www.durhambrewery.co.uk

Hi Dave,

That's sad, but I can understand current pressures of life despite that now I'm retired. We get one go at this life and we miss most of it, at least I was one of many who did. If you don't make it I'll be missing the pleasure of your company and while being well rewarded by all present company, hope to make your acquaintance soon. Have you considered a bus to Sunderland and a train from there?

Eric.

Not that I'm aware of :( Not even sure if there are that many members in this part of the world. They all seem to live up north.
