Hi Dave,
The pub is towards the far (northern) end of Framwellgate Moor and about 2 miles walk to the station. You would need to allow a good half hour for the walk but the route is almost a straight line and quiet at night so if you're a good runner or can afford a taxi you could reduce that.
Incidentally, Durham Brewery are holding a tour this Saturday. For details see http://www.durhambrewery.co.uk

Hi Dave,
That's sad, but I can understand current pressures of life despite that now I'm retired. We get one go at this life and we miss most of it, at least I was one of many who did. If you don't make it I'll be missing the pleasure of your company and while being well rewarded by all present company, hope to make your acquaintance soon. Have you considered a bus to Sunderland and a train from there?
Eric.
