North East JBK night out 11th May in the Victoria, Durham

Post by Jim » Sat Mar 17, 2012 9:09 pm

Like the title says.

Initial discussions suggest the regulars are all up for it, and a Friday night in Durham is a popular choice.

Can we all post our dates available here so we can get a concensus of the best date. So far I know Scotty Mc is available on 4th, 11th and 18th May (and later dates), and HH and Eric are available any Friday within reason (as am I). Scotty, do you have dates you're available in April as well (just to give more options as May is quite a way off)?

Just to say April 6th. is Good Friday so it might be wise to avoid that.
Yes, it would be really nice to see some others too.

Good thinking Eric, it will probably be a Sunday service for the buses. Shall we wear waterproof trousers this time, & I'll take a sickie bag if Jeff makes it. I wonder if the dvd is still there as well!

No! Not that DVD. Threaten me with that Dave and I mightn't come.
Waterproof trousers, now there's an idea. It was a long time ago, but I can still remember youthfulness. I'd give up all I've earned and all I've learned just to go there again, even to make all my mistakes over again.

I could only manage the 27th April Jim but I will be at work the next morning. Its close enough to May anyway

I was in the Vic last week and there was no sign of that DVD. I don't think it went with the decor

Edit: The 29th of March is a Thursday and I read my rota wrong #-o

Do you think they would let us back in there, or do we need to try somewhere else?

There'll be no problems with us going back.

I love the Tap at Fram but it's a pain in the arse for transport and any new lads wanting to come along.

So I'm gathering that the Vic is favourite and since everyone else can do pretty much any time, we just need to synchronise one of Scotty's nights off with Garth's shifts?
