Spaces available - BJCP Tasting exam 6th October

Post by alikocho » Tue Sep 25, 2012 2:00 pm

I have a couple of slots available for a BJCP tasting exam at 11am on October 6 in Bristol (late withdrawals).

If anybody wants to take them up and can pass the online exam before please contact me asap.

Hi, really interested is this, how much work is involved in being ready for Þhe exam? (In other words is there time to cram for it) I do have tasting (professional) experience but not sure what the exam focuses on...

I was only looking at the BJCP website last night.
I have the same question as masterosouffle. Is there enough time to have a reasonable stab at the tasting exam?

Whether there is time, is really a question you need to ask yourselves. Do you have experience of tasting beer and can you learn the styles and seal with the technical topics.

I suggest that looking at the BJCP website, in particular the Study Guide, exams page and the style guidelines would be where to make the judgement as to whether you can pass the online exam and then deal with the tasting end of things.
