Charity Brew. Honey Pot (US)

Post by carpet19 » Wed Oct 03, 2012 8:39 pm

Hello all. Just thought I would let all north east homebrewers know of an event at Washington Arts Centre on 6th november.

I have been asked by Cheers North East magazine to replicate the brewing of President Obamas Honey Porter which will be freely served at Washington Arts Centre on 6th november to tie in with the US presidential elections. It will be true to type and all proceeds will go to the Bobby Robson foundation. I have conveted the original Whitehouse recipe to metric from US and will be calling the brew HONEY POT (US)... POT(US)= PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. Get it?? :)

Would appreciate the support of JBK members. should be a good un.
Cheers
Ken.

Brewing it this Saturday. a week to ferment and 3 to condition in the cask, should be tip top. Hopefully see you there.

Aye, it seems to have done the trick:). Was a pleasure seeing you and Norm yesterday. good crack, and aye, the beer was canny. Will let you know how much was raised. Let me know if and when you fancy bringing the club up to Wetherspoons as we discussed and i'll sort it with the Manager.
