OK, just finished getting ready for tomorrows brew:-
Yeast from brewery collected and in fridge
Grist measured out and Brupaks DLS additions mixed in
Brupaks CRS additions for mash and sparge liqour calculated
Brewing another Summer Lightning clone

Mash started at 09:00 B)
pH certainly lowered by addition of CRS, perhaps too low though - measured 5.0 :rolleyes:

Boil started ar 11:20 so now past the boilover danger zone!
Sparge went well (after I'd unstuck the mash! :rolleyes: ), collected 27 ish litres of wort.
Nice smells wafting around the garage now B)

Any pics andy? Man, it feels like an age since I last brew.
On the bright side, I picked up some supplies today for a brew next bank holiday, and a drum tap for one of my fermenters to solve the "leaving the house by the upstairs bedroom window" problem (

) and I also picked up Dave Line's "Brewing Beers Like Those You Buy"...what a fantastic book!

yeast ready to be pitched

just had a check and there's a nice thick yeast head on it now...
