Hey all. Ive got a 5gall brew going using 3kg Brupaks pale LME and one of their Classic London Bitter packs and Wyeast. Also put a few extra fuggles in at the end of the boil.
OG was 1042 and its bubbling away nicely since Thursday night, now around 1030. Im considering maybe popping a little more boiled extract, perhaps half a 500g bag of spraymalt to get the ABV up to around 5%.
Can anyone offer any advice on this please? Im worries that i might cock it all up by tinkering, as its all going soooo nicely at the moment. Smells like heaven!
Cheers!
Owen
Adding more malt to fermenter
Tks mighty, appreciate your answer. I made a lighter brew but then got to thinking that by the time it matures it will be Autumn and so maybe a stronger beer would be more seasonal. However I will take your advice and leave well alone.MightyMouth wrote:Leave it alone I say. If you want to make a stronger beer next time add the extra at beginning. Nothing worse than tipping beer down the sink because you messed with it too much.
I have sampled it though. Only as a byproduct of checking the gravity... honest, to get a benchmark on flavour... honest, and its wonderful; gorgeous, malty, hoppy, breadyness.
Can you die from drinking a vat full of half fermented beer?
