Stout/Porter/Dark Ale Experiment

I’ve done a few kits now and having some dark candy sugar needing to be used, what do the great and the good of Jim’s mighty site think of the recipe below?

1.5kg Coopers Dark Malt Extract
500g Dark Candy Sugar
30g Challenger Hops

Boil the whole lot for an hour, cool, and then pitch s04.

Have I got it totally wrong, or will it turn out ok- and what would it be classed as?!!?

Cheers,
Jamie

It should be ok, it may have a lower F.G. you could also experiment with steeping grains such as Black malt, chocolate malt, roasted barley and crystal malt
