Cooling the wort

Post by KevP » Fri Feb 27, 2009 9:51 pm

Just a quick 'hands up' I am trying to take a quick straw poll to find out who chills the wort and what method? Immersion, sink full of ice, left overnight?

And I was asked today whats wrong with letting the wort cool overnight, but couldn't find an answer, apart from risk of infection...

Thanks guys/gals/Benson :=P

Although I've done it, over night isn't good: http://www.annapolishomebrew.com/REchilling.asp

I made a wort chiller for around £20. Easiest thing I've ever made. Chills it to below 20c in 30 mins. :D
