I made a Hop Back Entire Stout extract brew, it turned out over 6% and I altered the colour with black malt.

After 1 week in the bottle its not bad, the black and chocolate malts come through but not too much as to taste strongly burnt, bitterness is pretty balanced and I reckon this is going to improve vastly over the next few weeks... Mmmmm ;)

Ah that first week taster. Unfortunately, for me, that first week taster tends to run into week two then week three....

I now have to try not to open another bottle untill, at least, next week... I only made about 4 litres in this mini extract brew.
I've just finished and tested the stock-pot boiler / attached tap and hop strainer... Tomorrow might see me making my second extract brew, though in the mean time i'll be drinking the stuff in my signature (though resisting the Entire Stout & the Coopers Stout as they have conditioning to do for 3-4 weeks at least)

Problem is, I've nothing in that tastes as nice as the Hop back I've just sampled!!! Hmmm!! Grrrr!!!! :D
