as the title says would i be correct in thinking that 2.4kg dme would be the equivalent of 3kg lme?

ive heared that using dme can take away the tangy flavour associated with lme?correct me if im wrong

cheeers for that.

i read a thread you replied to and you said that to adjust for using dme you should use 80% worth of what you would if using lme which for 3000g would be 2400g. however when i play around on beer engine it works out at 2600g. not sure which to follow?

the figures I obtained suggest multiplying LME weight by 0.86 to convert.
