Priming calculation

Post by cwrwfawr » Tue Sep 08, 2009 10:30 am

I am brewing 25 gallons of wheat beer for my wedding on Sarturday and my last two barrels have not quite finished yet but I want to get them bottled any way. They are at 1014 and I normally bottle at 1010 with 180 grams aof priming sugar. Can anyone work out how I mauch priming sugar I should use given the extra gravity?

You probably all going to say I haven't got enough time, but I have been brewing this recipe for two years and it normally take 6 days from start to drinking and produces some quality wheat beer.

According to Beer Engine a difference in SG 0.004 is equivalent to 200g household sugar.

So if I just bottle without any priming sugar, it should be OK?

That'll have to be entirely your decision.
