Just starting extract brewing after doing many kits but I would like to know the following if anyone could let me know please:
If brewing using more than one type of grain, can they be in the same muslin/grain bag or should they be kept separate?
Why do some recipies call for crushed grain and some whole? What difference does it make?

They don't need to be kept seperate.
Never tried it but I think uncrushed would still impart some flavour but less colour, someone else might be able to confirm if that's right.
